How to Copy an Instagram Reel Transcript on iPhone
Open the Reel in Instagram, use its sharing controls to copy the public link, paste that link into the Instagram Reels transcript tool in Safari, and select Generate Reel transcript. When the result appears, select Copy text and paste it into Notes, Mail, or another iPhone app.

Copy text for immediate editing
Use Copy text when you want to paste the transcript into Notes, a message, a document, or an editor. This is the quickest route when timestamps are not needed.
Save TXT for a separate file
Use the TXT download when you want a plain-text file that can be stored or shared through the iPhone Files interface.
Save VTT when timestamp data is available
Use the VTT download for timed cues. The option is available only when the returned result includes timestamps, so its absence does not mean the text copy failed.
Review before quoting
Replay names, numbers, and short unclear phrases before publishing the copied transcript. Copying preserves the returned text; it does not independently verify the words.

Do I need to install another iPhone app?
No. The link workflow runs in a mobile browser. You need a publicly accessible Reel URL and a browser tab.
Can I copy a transcript from a private Reel?
The public-link route cannot read private media. If you own the media and are allowed to process it, use the upload option with your own file.
Why does the transcript tool reject my pasted link?
Check that you copied the individual Reel address and that it is an HTTPS URL on instagram.com. A profile, feed, redirect, or unrelated URL is not the same input.
Where does a downloaded transcript go on iPhone?
